Royal Mail Strike Action

Royal Mail are taking industrial action that will disrupt the delivery service that we offer on our website, causing delays to your order.

Royal Mail are taking action on:-

Wednesday 14 December,
Thursday 15 December,

Friday 23 December
Saturday 24 December 2022

We recommend upgrading your delivery to Tracked 24 or Parcelforce during industrial action. Your delivery will still be delayed by the day/s the strikes take place, but priority will be given to next day services when they return to work, with 2-3 day services being cleared after these, which could add several days to your order.

Here are the details from the Royal Mail website:-

On days when national strike action is taking place:

  • We will deliver as many Special Delivery and Tracked 24 parcels as possible
  • We will prioritise the delivery of COVID test kits and medical prescriptions wherever possible
  • We will not be delivering letters (with the exception of Special Delivery)

What you can do:

  • Post your items as early as possible in advance of the strike dates
  • Continue to post your items at Postboxes or Post Offices, however collections will be less frequent on days when strike action is taking place

The union said it will have a “dramatic impact” and will cover peak mail periods such as Black Friday on 25 November, Cyber Monday on 28 November and the Christmas build-up.
